3. Increases transportation and storage costs:Water in crude oil increases the cost of storage and transportation. Water-containing crude oil requires more power consumption during transportation, and also increases the use of cooling water and fuel.

4. Affects the processing:The moisture in the crude oil will lead to the unstable operation of the fractionator, which may cause the tower shock accident in serious cases.
